Mr and Mrs Ellis purchased a property that had minor cracking widespread around the house; this was picked up during the valuation survey. The Mortgage lender decided still to lend on the property but a condition of the lending was that Mr and Mrs Ellis provided a 12-month period of level monitoring to confirm the cracking had stabilised.
Subsidence Monitoring carried out 8 weekly readings for 1 year around the full perimeter of the building, the results showed there was no on-going movement of the building and the Mortgage lender closed the file on the case.
